“Shall We”: A Musical Invitation to Peace

I’ve always believed that music has the power to touch something deep within us—beyond thought, beyond words. It can calm, comfort, and connect. That’s the spirit behind my new single, “Shall We,” releasing globally on April 30th.

This song is an invitation. Not just to listen, but to pause. To breathe. To feel.

When I sat down to write and record “Shall We,” I wasn’t thinking in terms of structure or form. I simply let the music come through. What you hear in this piece is my heart—my own longing for peace, my desire to offer a sense of stillness to anyone who listens.

Each note holds something personal: a moment of stillness, a breath of hope, a glimpse of clarity. I approached it not as a performer trying to impress, but as a soul sharing something honest and healing. The melody is gentle and open, like a quiet question: Shall we slow down together? Shall we remember what matters most?

The track has already been described as “a soothing and palpable feeling of calming pleasure.” That means the world to me, because that’s exactly what I hoped to give. A listener said it felt “like waking up on a spring morning with the scent of hope in the air.” I love that. I want my music to feel like that—like a fresh breeze of possibility, quietly lifting the spirit.

In many ways, this song came from a place of aspiration. It reflects my own journey toward inner peace, and my belief that music can help others on their path as well, especially in today's stressful times. As a guitarist, I’ve always tried to make the instrument sing—to let the music breathe and speak in a way that’s true. With “Shall We,” it’s not about virtuosity. It’s about my own vulnerability.

Sometimes, when I play music, I feel like I’m floating—held by the melody, yet grounded in the moment. It reminds me to listen inwardly, and to let go of the noise. My hope is that it does the same for you.

I invite you to take a few minutes out of your day to experience “Shall We.” Let it be a soft companion during your morning routine, your evening wind-down, or a moment of reflection in between. Let it remind you—gently—that peace is possible. Not just someday, but right now.

Thanks for sharing this journey with me. And thank you for listening—with your heart.

With love,

Shambhu
