About This Album
Lilac Skies is the 4th release from American guitarist, composer and producer Shambhu — featuring his guitar magic on 10 new songs in a dazzling album with Jazz, Blues and New Age roots.
The group tracks were recorded at the historic Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA with Kai Eckhardt (bass), Frank Martin (keyboards), and Celso Alberti (drums and percussion). The album also features Premik Russell Tubbs (flute, lap steel guitar, soprano sax), Alec Hamilton (Hammond organ, electric piano), and Kristin Hoffman (vocals). Additional recordings took place in San Diego, Maui, Switzerland, and Westhampton Beach.
